Help Slate get a double hip replacement!
After several foster homes, Slate landed with a foster mom who noticed his movements seemed painful. She took him for hip X-rays, and the vet diagnosed Slate with severe double hip dysplasia at just a year old. Double hip replacements were recommended, as well as physical therapy before and after surgery.
If Slate gets the surgeries as soon as possible, his prognosis is excellent. Recovery may take as long as six months, but then he'll be a healthy, more confident and social pet for the lucky family that adopts him.
You can help fix Slate's hips! As he experiences new things, he shows incredible potential to be a wonderful part of a family. Your gift will go directly toward his procedures and recovery.
Help us meet our goal of $15,000 to replace Slate's hips so he can find the perfect forever family and go swimming again! Funds raised over this goal will help provide medical care to other shelter pets in need.
